  • Will there be masks available? Yes, masks will be available and encouraged. Please ask at the gate or the Accessibility tent, and one will be provided for you.

  • Is there a place to store my bike? Yes, we will have a bike valet available. You can also leave other personal items with us: bags, scooters, etc. A donation is recommended but not required. We will not accept rental bikes or scooters, however.

  • Will my service dog be let in? Yes. Because festivals are stressful on all bodies (humans and dogs), we encourage you to make healthy choices for both you and your dog. Let’s keep you and your animal partner safe by having a bowl for their water and please give them as many breaks as they need from the heat and the crowds. To make the festival fully accessible to everyone, green space may be at a minimum, which means the ground will be hot. We ask that you please keep an eye on their paws.

  • Will my non-service dog be let in? No. Our primary aim is to keep everyone safe and make the festival as accessible as possible. Due to the risks involved in bringing animals into a space as chaotic as a festival, we want to minimize the strain on everyone in attendance and that includes service dogs. When animals are stressed, they tend to behave in uncharacteristic and unpredictable ways. More animals means more chances for something to go awry. We know, we know. We love our dogs, too, and even though your dog may be well-behaved, we still ask that you leave them home.

  • Do we allow strollers into the festival? Yes, and there will be parking for strollers at the bike valet, where a donation is recommended but not required.

  • Can I bring my water bottle? Yes, please do. This will help us to be as green as possible. To accommodate our permits, we ask that you please bring it empty or we will request that you empty it at the gate. After entry, you will be able to fill it up at one of our many watering stations.

  • Will there be alcohol? Yes, you will be able to purchase beer, wine and liquor at the event. In order to do so, you will need a wristband. Please drink responsibly and have a great time.

  • Where is the Lost & Found? Volunteer tent.

  • What and where is the Local Leader’s Lounge? The Local Leader’s Lounge will be located on the second floor west of the fountain in front of Kiln. This is our version of a VIP tent and requires a ticket for entry ($35). All of our non-profit and community groups will be given a certain number of tickets. This is our way of saying thank you to them for doing the hard work of community building.

  • If I leave, can I come back? Yes, but you will need a stamp for re-entry.

  • Will my $5 entry fee gain me access on both Saturday and Sunday? The $5 is for entry to a single day of the festival. If you come both days (and we hope you do), it will cost $10 total. If you’d like to sign up for a volunteer shift, your entry fee will be waived for that day. Yes, that’s a shameless plug, but seriously, come hang with us cool volunteers. We want and need you.

  • How do I sign up to volunteer? Please go to this sign-up sheet, find a shift that works for you and put down your name. We have volunteer work at the festival for people of all abilities. If you have any questions, please reach out to Kyle at
volunteers@slc-pride.org. He can answer all of your volunteer questions and help you navigate which shift might be best for you.

  • What are you doing to mitigate heat stress? We will provide water at several different stations and misters to encourage the body’s own cooling mechanisms. However, we know this won’t always be enough. If your body can’t take the heat, please find your way inside and allow yourself a little recovery time.

  • Will there be a sober space available? Yes. We take people’s sobriety very seriously and have partnered with Fit To Recover and USARA to accommodate this very important segment of our community.

  • What should I do if someone is harassing me? There will be security guards around the festival, and all of the staff will be trained in security measures. Please find one of us and let us help you navigate the situation.

  • Where can I find the performance schedule? Here.

  • What is Genderfuq? Genderfuq is our trans-centered punk rock kick-off event on Thursday night for the SLC Pride festival.
